Gorgeous Day
Today was a beautiful day outside. It was actually in the 80s. It is warm and sunshiny. Today I feel like I accomplished some things. I spoke with a couple of friends today. I also got a great pep talk from a long time friend. I also spoke with VA representative yesterday who gave me hope on a job source which would be doing something that I love. Although the day got off a little bumpy, it smoothed out with great ease. I have been watching the news on the Haiti airlifting of children. Like many other adoption bloggers, I am concerned about it. I worry about potential corruption and fraud. I worry about potential coercion of birth parents in that country. I worry when politicians promise to speed up adoptions from a country that has been utterly destroyed by natural disaster.
I will let those bloggers tell of their issues with it. They know better on what is going on. I haven't had the time to take care of it. So make sure you keep yourself updated with the Bastardette with her stories. I am sure that there are others out there. Many states are also introducing legislation so be on the look out for that information as well. Updates are popping up everywhere.
So I am going to enjoy the sunshine, my children, and tranquility outside. Enjoy your day.
